When Saint Francis Hospital opened its doors on October 1, 1960, Natalie Overall Warren already had a team of volunteers ready to enhance the patient hospital experience. She recognized that an auxiliary of citizens giving time and service from the goodness of their hearts would help weld the community and the hospital into a great asset for Tulsa.
Today, Saint Francis Health System volunteers are 450 strong and work in 120 departments across the health system, directly and indirectly enhancing patient care. The Saint Francis Volunteer Auxiliary donate an average of 150,000 hours each year with monetary contribution topping in the millions.
No matter what your skills and expertise, Saint Francis Health System can use your caring, understanding and generosity.
Volunteers are not only an integral part to the day to day operations of the health system, they also raise funds through various projects. The Auxiliary has enabled the purchase of high-tech medical equipment, a state-of -the-art neonatal intensive care ambulance and other important additions to patient care and comfort.
